The Ta-Og
The Ta-Og were once one of the most technologically advanced and unified races in the entire galaxy and some even say their potential was limitless, but their downfall is widely known and is considered to be one of the galaxy’s most tragic tales.
Information:
A well known trait of all Ta-Og is their “Mark of Blood Curse”. The Mark of Blood curse was placed on The Ta-Og by Manish Brotok after the united mights of both the first age and second age races finally put a stop to his madness, with the curse itself causing all Ta-Og to enter a violently chaotic and powerful rage that leaves nothing alive around them. While in this rage, A Ta-Og will become deranged, relatively unresponsive to outside stimulus and will rip apart, or otherwise kill anything they can get their hands on, in addition a Ta-Og’s eyes will begin glowing bright red and their “Mark of Blood” will begin emitting some kind of crimson smoke, this itself is actually an indicator that a Ta-Og is about to enter a Mark of Blood rage. Although in the modern age certain treatments, drugs, therapy’s and magics have been utilised to lessen the intensity of the Mark of Blood rages, ultimately no cure or method of banishing the curse has been found.
As a direct result of The Mark of Blood curse, The Ta-Og as a race have become completely fragmented. While they managed to once hold a spot amongst The Collective, it was when a Ta-Og collector entered a Mark of Blood rage and killed around half of his fellow collectors that the galaxy got a good look at how bad The Mark of Blood curse could truly get , since then Ta-Og have proven to be good at one thing and one thing only, War. In the modern age most Ta-Og are mercenaries, bounty hunters or soldiers of fortune ready to risk what little they have for a lump sum of currencies to spend on drinks, weapons, fornication and other “primal” pleasures. The race of Ta-Og as a unified force is completely none existent as the race has no leaders, no government and a homeworld that is little more then a nuclear graveyard littered with the bodies of those who lost their minds to The Mark of Blood curse.
Before they were cursed with a blood boiling rage, The Ta-Og were one of the most technologically advanced races in the galaxy, so advanced in fact that if they hadn’t been cursed they would have even more advanced then The Octush. Before The Wars of Magic and Science were started and long before they knew of the other race’s existence, The Ta-Og had completely colonised their star system and began using their steam technology to expand their empire across the stars led by “The Royal Blood”.
Different Types of Ta-Og:
Ingens- are Ta-Og that possess a genetic mutation that causes their bodies to produce a high amount of muscle mass and causes their skin, muscles and bones to become extremely durable. Additionally The Ingen’s mutation causes rapid growth resulting in these Ta-Og reaching nearly 20ft in height, however this rapid growth has the adverse effect of drastically decreasing mental capabilties such as intelligence, critical thinking and even psychokinetics.
Behemoths- are Ta-Og that possess an extremely race genetic mutation that causes both a ridiculous amount of muscle growth, and ludicrous rapid growth causing this Ta-Og to reach well over 100ft in height. while relatively uncommon in the modern age, during The Wars of Magic and Science, The Collective age and The Administration age they were a very common sight.
Blood_Borns- are Ta-Og that are afflicted with an extreme version of The Mark of Blood curse. This worsened version results in, a drastically increased rage that ignites the body of The Ta-Og , an increased strength with able to lift 5 times their own body weight, and a durability so great that they can survive strikes from anti-tank cannons and even brush off nuclear strikes. Additionally Blood-Borns are also able to project a super heated and acidic blood-like substance that is capable of melting flesh and most metals, in addition this substance can be vomited, spat, summoned from the wrists and even focused into a concentrated beam from between both horns.
The Golden- are Ta-Og that inhabit the nuclear wasteland and the previous homeworld of The Ta-Og known as “Mingoba”. These Ta-Og get their name from their appearance, as due to the violent sandstorms and high amount of nuclear radiation all of the skin and flesh has been stripped away leaving their metal skeletons exposed, in addition their once bronze skeletons have been morphed and mutated into a “twisted gold” colour. Interestingly The Golden always seem to be in constant state of rage with their Mark of Blood constantly glowing a reddish colour with just a small hint of green.
